Sundays home fixture saw Bolton’s 3rd team face off against an experienced Moss Park side.

The start of the game didn’t go to plan for the young Bolton team with the away team scoring against the run of play. Bolton continued to press but unfortunately couldn’t find the finishing touch. Moss Park scored their second from a short corner meaning Bolton went into half time 0-2.

But the second half Bolton came out fighting with their first goal coming from captain Katie Bent who scored from a short corner with a well placed drag flick. Bolton continued to press to find their second goal but unfortunately found themselves further behind from a break away goal making the game 1-3.

This further motivated the young 3s squad who pulled the game level with two fantastic goals from forward Cleo Strange who was assisted by Helen Stewart with fantastic play down the wings. With the game now level and the opponents down to 10 players due to injury. The home team pushed to find a winning goal but again found themselves a goal behind due to a miss communication at the back leading to their goal. 3-4.

With 5 minutes left of the game the home team pushed to find an equaliser with the goal coming from Nikki Ashurst with a powerful shot passed the goalkeeper after some individual skill. Game finished 4-4 with the Bolton W3s side taking a well deserved point after coming from behind in the 8 goal thriller.
